Information We Collect

When you place an order or create an account with PinPoint, we collect the following personal information:

• Full name and email address
• Shipping address (Canadian addresses only)
• Order history and transaction details
• Age verification status via the age_verified cookie (a non-tracking cookie that persists for 30 days to confirm you are 18 years of age or older)

We do not collect payment card information. All payments are processed through Interac e-Transfer, which is handled by your financial institution.

How We Use Your Information

Your personal information is used exclusively for the following:

• Processing and fulfilling your orders
• Coordinating e-Transfer payment verification (matching your sender email with your order)
• Shipping your order to your provided Canadian address
• Communicating order status updates, shipping confirmations, and customer service responses
• Improving our products and services

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

E-Transfer Payment Data

PinPoint accepts payment via Interac e-Transfer. When you send an e-Transfer, your financial institution processes the transaction. PinPoint does not store your banking credentials, account numbers, or financial login information.

We retain only the sender email address associated with the e-Transfer for the purpose of matching your payment to your order. This information is stored securely and used solely for order verification.

Cookies

PinPoint uses a minimal number of cookies:

• age_verified — A client-side cookie set when you confirm you are 18 years of age or older. This cookie persists for 30 days and contains only a boolean value. It is not used for tracking, analytics, or advertising.
• Session cookies — Used for administrative authentication when managing orders. These expire when the browser session ends.

PinPoint does not use third-party tracking cookies. We do not use Google Analytics. Our analytics solution (Vercel Analytics) is cookieless and does not collect personally identifiable information.

Data Retention

Order records, including your name, email, shipping address, and transaction details, are retained for a minimum of 7 years in compliance with Canadian tax law requirements.

Account data not associated with completed orders may be deleted upon your request. Contact us to request deletion of your personal data.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request corrections to inaccurate personal information
• Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Withdraw consent for non-essential data processing

Canada-Specific Compliance

PinPoint is committed to compliance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). All personal information collected by PinPoint is stored on servers located in Canada. We implement appropriate technical and organizational safeguards to protect your data against unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse.
